Moussa, continued Israeli aggressions against the Palestinians raised the anger of 'Arab street'
Regional-Palestine, Politics, 10/31/2001

The secretary general of the Arab League Amr Moussa has stressed that solving the question of the Middle East requires Israel's withdrawal from the occupied Palestinian territories until June 1967 border line and the establishment of the independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as a capital.

In statements issued on Tuesday by the London- based al-Hayat daily, Moussa indicated that the continued Israeli aggressions against the Palestinian people raised the anger of the Arab public and resulted in a state of frustration in the Arabs.

Moussa indicated he had asked the US secretary of state Colin Powell for Washington to play her role as an honest broker and to start working promptly to revive the peace process in the Middle East.

Moussa, on the other hand, announced he had agreed with the US secretary of state that the war against terrorism does not necessarily mean the military operations, rather joint cooperation in various fields is also important to prevent the spread of terrorism.
