Japan signs a general agreement with Qatar

Japan on Tuesday signed a general agreement with Qatar to cooperate in the Qatari projects which aim at transferring the natural gas to oil products that preserves the environment by using natural gas from the Qatari al-Shemal ( north) gas field.

News reports quoted the director of the oil and natural gas department at the Japanese ministry of trade Takyo Heirana as saying that his country will give loans from the Japanese national establishment for oil or the Japanese bank for International Co-operation, which are governmental organizations which gives loans to sides concerned abroad.

The official explained that the two countries agreed also to convene annual meetings at the level of deputies of ministers to discuss issues pertinent to the sector of energy.

Worthy mentioning that the agreement was signed in Tokyo in the presence of the Qatari oil minister Abdullah al-Ateyah and the Japanese minister of the economy, commerce and industry.
