Yemeni president suffers Liver disease

The Lebanese magazine al-Shera' has stated that the Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh is sick and suffers Liver disease. A disease which might prevent him continuing ruling the country and therefore he prepares his son to succeed him through " burning phase inside the authority," noting this will affect not only the President's performance but also his historical alliances.

In a special report from Sanaa on the disease of President Saleh in its today's issue, the magazine added that the son of President Saleh Col. Ahmad Abdullah Saleh, the commander of the special force, the commander of the Presidential guards and members of parliament who has been promoted exceptionally, supported by the commander of the air force Ali Saleh al-Ahmar.

The magazine explained in its report that President Saleh had met in Germany during his medical treatment visit the commander of the first contingent Ali Mohsin al-Ahmar and the now military attache to the US Ali Saleh al-Ahmar in order to arrange the " presidential house" without bloody problems.

However, the two men represent the extreme in the confrontation for succeeding President Saleh. Ali Mohsen wants the presidency for himself while Ali Saleh al-Ahmar sides with the President's nephew.
