Saudi Arabia-USA, Politics, 10/26/2001
The French weekly news bulletin TTA which is concerned in strategic news said Saudi Arabia's rejection to allow usage of its air bases to strike Afghanistan did not prevent some 80 American jets from stationing in Prince Sultan air base.
The Bulletin added that Gen. Charles White, the coordinator of air operations in Afghanistan is using this base as a center for his department which follows the American central leadership and that it was rumored that the American administration ordered to temporarily expand the field of activity for this leadership which is traditionally concentrated on the Gulf region.
The bulletin said that the American departments are cautious over the possibility that Bin Laden's network is preparing for revenge strike, supposed to be in the Gulf region. A matter which necessitates tight security measures and that the headquarters of the central leadership and the fifth fleet in Bahrain, American forces are stationed permanently in Kuwait and that number of American troopers in Saudi Arabia reached 5000 besides some 40,000 American citizens working in Saudi Arabia.
