Dubai discloses a Mossad plan to strike Gulf states economy
United Arab Emirates, Politics, 10/25/2001
Lt. Gen. Dahi Khalfan Tamim, the commander general of Dubai police has accused sides linked to the Israeli Mossad of carrying out acts aiming at damaging the economy of the Arab Gulf states and Dubai in particular.
In a statement to the Kuwaiti News Agency KUNA Khalfan Tamim said that he has confirmed information to this effect proved by documents and pictures.
He stressed that "Zionism tries to make a rift between the Arab and Islamic civilization on the one hand and the Western civilization on the other," noting that the US President George Bush and his aides eliminated this very chance when they stressed that the war against terrorism does not target Muslims.
The Dubai police official criticized the assets of certain societies under the pretext of having links to terrorist organization, noting that the freezing of assets decision should be by a judicial order. He called for restoring back Arab assets from foreign banks because they are no more secure and should be invested in the Arab homeland.
