US special forces commander visits Yemen

A Yemeni government official said on Wednesday that a special commander for the US forces is currently visiting Yemen to discuss military cooperation and efforts to fighting terrorism following the attacks of September 11th at the US.

News reports quoted the said Yemeni official as saying that Admiral Albert Kaland, the commander of the central leadership for the special operations at the US marine arrived in the Yemeni capital Sanaa to hold talks with the Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh and Yemeni military officials.

The Yemeni official added that kaland's discussions will center on reviewing security and military cooperation and the common efforts to fighting international terrorism and the American support for Yemen to fighting terrorism.
