Khaddam confers with Moroccan premier, Iraqi trade minister

Syrian vice President Abdul Halim Khaddam on Monday evening received the Moroccan prime minister Abdul Rahman al-Yousefi and members of the accompanying delegation.

The two sides discussed the grave developments in the world and its reflections on the Arab arena and the need to maintain Arab cooperation and solidarity in order to avoid the negative consequences of these developments.

The situation in the Palestinian territories was also reviewed, as well as relations between the two countries and the importance of developing them in all fields.

Later in the afternoon, Khaddam received the Iraqi trade minister Muhammad Mahdi Saleh and discussions dealt with relations between the two countries.

The Syrian prime minister Muhammad Mustafa Miro received the Iraqi minister and discussions dealt with co-operation relations and means o developing them in various economic and trade areas for the interests of the two countries.
