Jordanian- French food agreement
Jordan-France, Economics, 10/23/2001
An agreement was signed on Monday in Amman between the Jordanian and the French governments according to which France will give 5,000 tons of wheat as a sort of food aid to Jordan within the frameworks of the World Food program ( WFP).
On behalf of the Jordanian side, the meeting was attended by the minister of planning Jawad Hadid while the French side was attended by the French Ambassador in Amman Bernard Emeh.
Jordanian official sources said that the French donation falls in the course of the French aid to withstand the consequences of the drought which hit Jordan during the past years and to eliminate the resulting damages.
