Tourists watch perpendicular fall of sun rays on Ramses' face

Aswan governorate Saturday celebrated perpendicular fall of sunrays on the face of the statue of Ring Ramses II, with more than 5,000 tourists of different nationalities attending the event.
Folk bands played local music in front of the temple while the King Ramses' face inside the sanctum sanctorum.
The event takes place twice a year, the first on February 22 and the second on October 21.
Big TV screens depicted the event for the temple visitors.
The celebration was attended by Aswan Governor Major General Samir Youssef as well as executive and popular leadership.
