More leaders of the People's Congress party released

The Sudanese authorities on Saturday evening released several leaders of the People's Congress party who were arrested in August for their attempt to resist policemen and convene a press conference the their party's premises.
Among the prominent figures who were released: Abdullah Hassan Ahmad, the party's assistant secretary general, the party's foreign relations official Ibrahim al-Sanousi, the groups official Khaleifa al-Sheikh Makkawi, the social affairs official Bader eddine Taha and member of the leading commission Zahab Muhammad saleh.
On the other hand, the Sudanese daily al-Rai al-Am issued on Sunday did not confirm that former chairman of the Sudanese state council Ahmad al-Meir Ghani, who is also the chairman of the democratic federation party will return back to Khartoum on November 8th following 12 years he spent in Cairo.
On the other hand, the Sudanese daily al- Sahafi al-Dawli said that an eye surgery was held for Hassan al-Turabi, the leader of the Sudanese people's national congress party on Saturday evening.
