Palestine-USA, Politics, 10/22/2001
The chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat on Sunday asked the US President and the American administration to interfere and pressure the Israeli government to pullout from the Palestinian cities it occupied recently.
In a statement to pressmen, Arafat's advisor Nabil Abu Rudinah said that Arafat on Sunday morning received a telephone call from the US secretary of state Colin Powell during which it was agreed between Arafat and Powell to continue contacts between the US and the Palestinian Authority on asking Israel to halt its occupation for the Palestinians cities and villages.
