Celebrating the sunrays fall perpendicularly on statue of Ramsis II

Tomorrow evening, Aswan governorate will hold a festival celebrating the sun perpendicular fall on the face of Ramsis II inside Abu Simbel Temple.

This is a unique phenomenon that takes place twice a year; the day he was born on October 22 and the day he was crowned on February 22.

The celebration will be transmitted across the satellite channels the festival will include folkloric shows by Aswan troupes, Toshki for the folkloric musical instruments, Abu Simbel troupe for arts and folklore beside the Upper Egyptian flute.

This phenomenon will be displayed to the visitors by means of huge screens which will take more than half an hour.
