Egypt worried over Palestinian-Israeli violence
Egypt-Palestine, Politics, 10/20/2001

Egypt is concerned over the escalation of violence between the Palestinians and Israelis at a time when efforts are being exerted to cool off the situation, an official source said. We feel sorry for the recent assassination of Israeli Tourism Minister Rehavim Zeevi and a number of Palestinian leaders, including Abu Ali Moustafa, as well as the killing of other innocent people from both sides, the source said.

The source called on both Palestinian and Israeli sides to down conditions and avoid any actions that could lead to an explosion, so that the opportunity -of reaching the stability which the Palestinian and Israeli peoples aspired for would not be wasted.
