The Saudi- Yemeni joint committee
Yemen-Saudi Arabia, Politics, 10/20/2001

It was announced in Sanaa that prince Nayef Bin Abdullah Aziz, the Saudi minister of the Interior will visit Yemen next Monday.

The mouthpiece of the Yemeni armed forces " 26 September" paper said prince Nayef will preside over the Saudi side in the joint committee with Yemen. The committee is in charge of implementing the international committee in charge of demarcating land and sea borders between the two countries in Jeddah in June of the year 2000.

The paper expected that the Saudi minister of the Interior will discuss with high ranking Yemeni officials in the Yemeni government developments in the region following the suicide attacks against the US in Washington and New York on September 11.

Prince Nayef Bin Abdul Aziz is expected to meet with the Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh besides holding talks on security issues which are of concern to Saudi Arabia and Yemen with his Yemeni counterpart Rashaad al-Oleimi.
