Arab bank allocates more than $ 19 million in aid for Africa

The Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa allocated, at the end of its meetings on Thursday, US $ 19.775 million as loans to fund projects in African countries.
The bank conferees said in a statement, reproduced by Kuwaiti News Agency KUNA, that the bank allocated $ 19.150 Million as loans for projects and $ 625,000 for technical back-up operations.
The bank board earmarked $1.95 million worth of loan to finance the educational sector in Niger, $ 2.2 million for expanding a network for sewage water treatment in Benin, $ 2.8 million for a road project in Mali, $ 6.7 million for a roads venture in Namibia and $ 5.5 million for sewage in the Seychelles.
