UAE deputy prime minister confers with former UN chief
United Arab Emirates-Regional, Politics, 10/17/2001

United Arab Emirates UAE deputy prime minister Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed al-Nahyan on Tuesday in Abu Dhabi discussed with former UN secretary general Kurt Valdheim, who is also former President of Austria the international efforts to fight terrorism and the tense condition in the Middle East and the stalemated ME peace process.

During this meeting, Sheikh Sultan stressed that the Zionist terrorism against the Palestinians is the reason behind the catastrophe taking place in the world because the " Zionist doctrine" violates all international legitimacy resolutions and humanitarian charter.

Sheikh Sultan said that Zionism and racism are two faces of the same coin and called on the international community to halt the Zionist terrorism practiced by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinians repeatedly.

The UAE official underlined the importance of the role played by the UN in achieving the optimum solution in the middle East in the framework of the international legitimacy resolutions and in the international campaign to fight terrorism and American sponsorship of the ME peace process.
