Israeli sources regret Arafat's today's visit to Britain
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 10/15/2001
Israeli sources in Tel Aviv on Sunday expressed their regret over the visit to be held today ( Monday) by the chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat to Britain and the consent of the British prime minister Tony Blair to meet with him.
The Israeli radio said that the sources stressed that such a meeting should not be held as far as Arafat did not fight what it had called terrorism, noting that a telephone call was held on Saturday between the Israeli foreign minister Shimon Peres and his British counterpart Jacque Straw to discuss this matter.
