People's Assembly- Speaker cables support to President Mubarak

People's Assembly- Speaker Sorour said: In my own name, and in the name of members of the Egyptian People's Assembly, I wish to affirm our full and absolute support and great appreciation right and justice which you have crystalised in a sincere national will in fighting terrorism and containing its effect which leads to the spread of chaos and international instability.

Your Excellency's attitude towards recent events was a guide to justice and the right course within your aware moves and your intensive contacts with various world leaders to avoid difference and dissension and reach a unified stance on the necessary and effective international mechanisms which conform with the bases of international legitimacy in the face of terrorism taking into consideration that these measures do not effect the innocent and unarmed civilians.

Your call to conclude an international agreement binding on all world countries, without exception, and with the support of the legitimacy of the United Nations to confront terrorism provides a strong shield to make the world avert the woes of divisions in the face of this evil which leads to bloodshed and undermines development, at both the regional and international levels.

Mr President, You pointed to the real cause of the spread of terrorism in the Middle East area when you said that it was important to solve the Palestine issue and exert all possible international efforts to oblige Israel to carry out resolutions of international legitimacy.

You have stressed that Israeli security cannot be realised without solving the Palestine issue.

This reflected your deep awareness of the concept of overall security which leads to cooperation and the eradication of terrorism.

This pioneer call had its great effect on Arab peoples and left its impact on later international policies.
