King Mohammed starts Sunday tour in central and southern Morocco
Morocco, Politics, 10/13/2001

Morocco's King Mohammed VI will start on Sunday a tour in Moroccan central and southern provinces, the ministry of the royal household, protocol and chancellery announced.

During this tour, the sovereign will inquire about living conditions of the populations in these provinces, and dedicate and launch several socio-economic development projects and infrastructures, worth 110 million Dirhams (US$ 10 million).

The projects deal with consolidation of health facilities, alleviating drought effects, sustained development, promotion of girls schooling in rural areas, integration of handicapped persons and improving children living conditions.

The king will deliver from the central city of Khenifra a speech to the nation and perform next Friday's prayers in the Grand mosque of Azilal.
