King Mohammed renews support to comprehensive approach to fight terrorism
Morocco-Regional, Politics, 10/13/2001

Morocco's King Mohammed VI renewed in Rabat Friday "constant commitment to fight terrorism under all its forms," stressing "the eradication of terrorism and its uprooting must be part of a comprehensive move"

The sovereign who was addressing the opening of the fall session of the parliament's fifth legislative year explained this stance by Morocco's attachment to international legality and to fighting terrorism and by the faith that eradicating and uprooting terrorism must be part of a comprehensive approach that must target peace and justice consolidation in the world, and particularly in the Middle East.

"Morocco, out of its unshakable attachment to international legality and its constant commitment to fight terrorism under all its forms, and given its belonging to the Arab and Islamic nation and its upholding of this nation's fair causes, and in the first instance the cause of the brotherly Palestinian people, while expressing total solidarity with the international stand, translating the unanimity formed to combat terrorism and uproot its sources by all legitimate means, is keen on asserting that the eradication of terrorism and its uprooting must be part of a comprehensive move," said the king.

The sovereign urged "this move must target further consolidation of peace and more justice and equity in the world order, in a bid to put an end to the pangs of poverty, injustice, oppression and exclusion and to defuse hot spots, in all parts of the world, and in the first instance in the Middle East, where the defenseless Palestinian people are prey to all kinds of slaughter and persecution in the legitimate struggle they are waging to establish an independent state with Al-Quds Al-Charif as its capital."
