The US prevented Sharon from launching a destructive war against Syria, Lebanon, the Palestinian territories

The al-Watan al-Arabi magazine issued in Paris on Friday quoted American sources as saying that the Israeli army has drawn a war scenario prepared in full details since last spring by which destructive military operations will be launched on three fronts against Syria, Lebanon and the Palestinian areas.

The magazine added that despite its stances which support the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon, the American administration succeeded in preventing Sharon and his military leadership from erupting an already two time prepared regional war. Once in May to eradicate the consequences of the humiliated Israeli withdrawal from South Lebanon and the second time was the anniversary of the June war of 1967 of the same Summer of 2000. Moreover, before the attacks of September 11, the top secret reports noted information speaking about expected Israeli- Arab war in this current month October.

The magazine continued that the US national security council chaired by Bush met for more than one time to discuss means of launching an American initiative that alienate the ghost of war from the region.

Well-informed European sources indicated the state of concern in the Israeli rightist and military wing regarding developments on the international arena that led to new calculations and bringing back the scenario of the regional war by Israel with the aim to foil the American ( international) initiative and in particular the new American strategy in the Middle East.
