1st International Electric-Electronic Exhibition Opens in Casablanca

Morocco's trade, industry, energy and mining minister, Mustapha Mansouri, dedicated on Thursday the 1st international electric-electronic exhibition (Elec Expo 2001). Over 120 participants from Morocco and abroad are displaying their products and services in this forum set to be a space for encounters and exchanges between professionals to strike deals.

Morocco's electric and electronic sector counts some 170 companies, posts a production estimated at some 6.7 billion DH (around US$ 609 million), of which more than one third is exported. The sector employs 22,300 persons.
