Sharon to visit Washington by the beginning of November

The Presidency of the Israeli government on Thursday evening announced that the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon will head for the US by the beginning of November in his third visit since he assumed power on March 7th.
No explanations were given concerning the date and program of this visit. The Israeli radio said that it is expected that Sharon will meet with the US President George Bush during this visit.
Sharon held two official visits to the US. The first was in March after he assumed power shortly and the second was in June.
The local dailies said that the Israeli prime minister proposed, in addition to the aids proposed by him to the US what Israel can give of support following the American attacks against Afghanistan as a retaliation to the attacks of September 11th.
