Clinton and Bin Laden
Regional-USA, Politics, 10/12/2001

Former US President Bill Clinton has stated that Osma Bin Laden is rich, clever and frightening and a foe that should not be underestimated in the campaign launched by the US against terrorism.

News reports said that Clinton warned in a speech he delivered at Kennedy's center in Washington on Wednesday that Bin Laden's work agenda includes toppling the ruling regime in Saudi Arabia and establishing the state of Palestine instead of Israel and establishing states similar to the ruling Taliban movement in Afghanistan in the Arab states and getting the US ultimately out of the Middle East.

Clinton added that Bin Laden and his followers want to use fear as a weapon noting that this conflict is but a main battle that will continue for the coming years and will decide the spirit of the 21st century.

The former US President supported the war launched by the US President George Bush at Bin laden and the war he launches against the ruling Taliban movement in Afghanistan because of hosting Bin Laden and his al-Qaeyda organization. He revealed that his organization was wishing to arrest Bin laden and bringing him to justice after he was expelled from Afghanistan but Saudi Arabia refused to receive him and he then went to Afghanistan.
