Continued bombardment at Kabul, Qindhar
After the announcement made by Washington that it could control the Afghani airspace, air raids were escalated on Wednesday against Kabul and Qindhar, at a time when Taliban's ambassador in Islma Abaas stressed that 70 civilians were killed in the earlier bombardment and other 100 wounded,. Iraq announced on Wednesday that the Iraqi air defense means downed an American pilot-less spying plane in the southern part of the country. Several protocol agreements were signed on Tuesday evening relating to means of reviving trade and customs co-operation between the five Maghreb Arab states. The Lebanese national resistance has intercepted the Israeli warplanes upon violating the Lebanese airspace and sovereignty over South Lebanon. The Israeli minister of the Interior Ozi Landao has called for fighting the chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat in his being a supporter " to the Iraqi President Saddam Hussein and to Osama Bin Laden." The Afghani Taliban movement said on Wednesday they destroyed the food supplies dropped by the American planes inside Afghanistan. News reports quoted the spokesman for the ministry of information in the Taliban government as saying that citizens of Bakita and Khoust districts situated to the east part of the country are destroying the food supplies instead of using them although they are drastically in need to them because they do not want these aids from the US which attacks their country and kill them.
