Israeli forces incurred in al-Qarrara town, six Palestinians wounded

The Israeli army on Tuesday incurred in al-Qarrara district in Gaza for hundreds of meters and leveled vast areas of the Palestinian Authority (PA) territories which are close to Ghoushe Katieve settlement while the Israeli tanks were opening fire randomly while escorting the bulldozers.

News reports said that four Palestinians were wounded during the incursion and demolishing operations and two other citizens were wounded by the Israeli soldiers at Salah Eddine Gate in Rafah.

In Beit Hanoun town to the north of Gaza one Palestinian boy and one child were hit but no clashes were there then.

Meantime, al-Najah university students organized a silent march in protest to the position of the PA position towards Gaza demonstration ( when two Palestinians were killed and 200 wounded) and students of Bethlehem and Beir Zeit universities held sit in protests and suspended attending their classes.

In France, the official spokesman for the French foreign ministry welcomed statements made by Yasser Arafat on the commitment of the Palestinian Authority to the cease- fire decisions.

Revaso expressed his hope that Israel will fulfil its obligations towards pulling out its forces from the PA territories and improving living conditions of the Palestinian people.
