Israel welcomes Palestinian Authority measures in Gaza

A spokesman for the Israeli government on Tuesday welcomed the measures taken by the Palestinian Authority in Gaza when the Palestinian police dispersed a demonstration against the American strikes in Afghanistan.
The spokesman for the Israeli prime minister Raanan Geisen said:" we hope this ( oppressing the demonstration) will be the beginning and that the chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat will proceed forward to this end." The Palestinian police on Monday dispersed a protest demonstration in Gaza over the American strikes in Afghanistan and this resulted in killing two Palestinians and wounding other 200.
