Sudan, Eritrea for further co-operation

The Sudanese foreign minister Mustafa Othman ismael has announced he had discussed with the Eritrea's President Asyas Afourki on Monday bilateral relations and means of developing them and opening areas of co-operation between the two countries and the peace and reconciliation initiatives in Sudan.

In a statement to the Sudanese daily al-Rai al-Am Dr. Ismael said that the discussions dealt with regional issues especially Sudan's perspective for the forthcoming steps to complete reconciliation in Somalia and means of approving a regional system that strengthens security in the region.

In a statement to the paper, Eritrea's President said that the situation in his country is calm and satisfactory and hostile campaigns promoted about his country abroad on conditions inside the country are groundless.
