American, British attacks continue against Afghanistan

After announcing its success on the success of air and rocket attacks so far carried out, the US and its British ally continued their air and missile bombardment against Kabul and north Afghanistan on Monday at a time when Taliban movement announced the death of more 20 Afghani and tens of wounded as a result of the American attacks, reiterated its readiness to fighting until the end and its unswerving position not to hand over Osama Bin Laden which it stressed is still alive inside Afghanistan, while the security authorities in New York announced utmost alert and deployed tens of thousands of policemen to avoiding revenge explosions. The US President George Bush announced the formation of a new secretary for "Homeland security."

Detailed reports said that the US defense department on Monday announced the implementation of a new wave of air raids against Afghanistan for the second running day. It said that the British and American forces bombarded on Monday evening 31 strategic targets in Afghanistan included fuels stations, air bases and military aggregation for the Taliban forces.

The CNN said that the new bombardment targeted the cities of Kabul, Jalaal Abaad and Qindhar, while the British defense ministry announced it took part in the attacks, while Canada announced sending 2000 troopers and several vessels to take part in the fighting.

For its part, the Afghani opposition forces which launched an attack at aggregations for the Taliban forces to the north of Kabul announced it controlled Shaghsharn airport in Ghour district and arrested 300 of Taliban fighters.
