Musharraf says he got guarantees that US attacks at Afghanistan will be limited

The Pakistani President B. Musharraf said on Monday that he has got guarantees that the American and British military operation in Afghanistan will be short and of limited objectives and will avoid as much as possible side damages.

News reports quoted Musharraf as saying in a press conference in Islaam Abaad: " I have received clear guarantees that this operation will be of short term and limited objectives and will not result in sideline damages."

Musharraf stressed that the Pakistani airspace was used in the attacks which were led by the US against Afghanistan, but he stressed that the Pakistani territories were not used in the attack.
