Al-Assad reviews with Saudi FM current preparations for OIC conference

President Bashar al- Assad at the Damascus al-Rawda palace on Saturday received the Saudi foreign minister Saud al-Faisal.

The meeting was attended by the Syrian foreign minister Farouk al-Shara, the chairman of the western department at the Saudi foreign ministry and the Saudi ambassador in Damascus.

The two sides reviewed results of contacts and consultations between the Arab and Islamic states in preparation for the next meeting of the foreign ministers of the Organization of the Islamic Conference OIC in Doha.

Latest developments on the regional and international arenas were also reviewed.

Earlier in the day, President Bashar al-Assad received the Saudi prince (well-known billionaire ) Talal Bin Abdul Aziz. The Saudi ambassador in Damascus attended the meeting.

Discussions dealt with development and investment projects in Syria and the strides of development and modernization currently taking place in the economic and investment areas.
