Austrian minister of the Interior: Syria is an important element for the stability of the region

The Minister of the Interior in the Republic of Austria Earnest Schstraser has stressed that Syria is considered as an important element of stability in the region, noting that stability in Syria means an important element for Europe.

The Austrian minister added that Syria and Austria are linked to remarkable relations covering all fields especially in the security field and fighting crime and organized crime as well as drugs.

He stressed that his visit to Damascus will positively contribute to developing and deepening relations existing between the two countries especially in the security field.

The Syrian minister of the Interior Muhammad Harba noted the cooperation agreement signed between the two countries in 1998 and means of implementing it for serving the mutual interests of the two friendly peoples and countries especially in the security area.
