Clashes between the Palestinians and the Israelis resulted in killing five, 67 wounded

The Israeli occupation forces incurred for 700 meters in Rafah and machined gunned a position for the Palestinian security and this resulted in destroying several houses and in inflicting heavy damages.

The Israeli occupation forces broke into Lahia and destroyed trees and plantations.

In Hebron five Palestinians were killed and other 45 wounded when Israeli tanks broke into the city and its suburbs.

News reports said that 50 tanks and armored vehicles broke into Abu Sneinah region and the Palestinians defended their city and strong clashes erupted and resulted in killing five Palestinians. They are: (27 year old), Qasem Abu Afifa (48), Raed Abu Daoud ( 23 year old) and Zeyad Qaffisheh ( 27 year old and Nidal Qaffisheh ( 35 year old).

The Israeli soldiers high-jacked a Palestinian ambulance in Toulkarem by which they chased a Palestinian car until they arrested the three Palestinians who were inside it.

The chairman of Hebron's municipality Mustafa al-Natsha said that the Israeli tanks entered the city and bombarded the houses of the Palestinians randomly.

Nabil Abu Rudunah, Arafat's advisor said that the Israeli military escalation will lead to more tension.

Meantime, the Islamic Jihad movement claimed responsibility for the attack on a car for the Israeli settlers in Toulkarem.

In a statement, the movement stressed that resistance operations against the occupation will continue and Sharon's threats will not frighten the Palestinian people, nor preventing them from continuing the " path of martyrdom." An Israeli military source admitted that two settlers were killed in this operation.
