Sharon to the west: do not make relations with the Arabs at our expense

The Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon has called on the western states especially the US not to try to make " an understanding with the Arabs at our own expense," stressing that Tel Aviv will not accept that.
In a press conference he held in Tel Aviv on Thursday Sharon said " I call upon all western democracies," and in the first place the leader of the free world, the US not to commit the grave mistake already committed in 1938 when the European democracies sacrificed Czechoslovakia for the sake of a temporary solution."
He added:'" Do not try to maintain an understanding with the Arabs at our own expense. We will not accept that. Israel will not be Czechoslovakia."
