Al-Assad meets with the delegation of the general secretariat of the Arab national conference

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on Thursday at the Damascus al-Shaab palace received a delegation representing the general secretariat of the Arab national conference.

The delegation is composed of the following figures: Zia eddine Dawoud the secretary general of the Arab national conference and the secretary of the Nserite party in Egypt; Maan bashour the assistant secretary for the conference and the chairman of the Arab national forum and also the coordinator general of the coalition of people's committees in Lebanon; Kheir eddine al-Hasin former secretary of the conference and chairman of the Arab unity studies center in Iraq; Ahmad Abdul Rahman member of the Sudanese national congress party leadership; Antoine Daw the secretary of the Islamic- Christian dialogue committee in Lebanon; and other Arab party members in Egypt, Jordan, Palestine, Morocco.

Discussions dealt with latest developments on the Arab and international arenas and the importance of maintaining co-ordination between Arab and Muslim states for building a united Arab and Muslim position to serve their common interests.
