Saudi Arabia-USA, Politics, 10/4/2001

The US defense secretary Roland Ramsfeld on Wednesday evening arrived in Riyadh marking the beginning of a tour on the Middle East which will also cover beside Saudi Arabia, Omar, Egypt and Uzbekstan.

During his visit, the US defense secretary will hold talks with the Saudi leaders during which he will brief them on the campaign the US is prepared for fighting terrorism.

The US defense secretary talked about information concerning the place where Bin laden is, who the first wanted by the US, but he stressed that his administration knows just a little about his place and stressed that there is no doubt that Bin Laden has links to the attacks against Washington and New York.

The US defense secretary said he will not ask Saudi Arabia's permission for the American forces use of military bases or facilities to launch a military attack, but he will discuss with them conditions for the implementation of a vast campaign against terrorism.
