King Mohammed grants distinction to German company manager

Manager of German company "Wissenbach," Ulrich Assmann, received on Tuesday a distinction extended him by King Mohammed VI in recognition for his company's efforts to promote Moroccan-German trade, mainly in carpets.
The "Alawit Wissam with the knight order" was handed to the German official by minister of social economy, SME and handicraft, Ahmed lahlimi.
In 2000, Germany was the largest importer of Moroccan rugs, for a total amount of 103.99 Million DH (around US$ 9.3 million), followed by the USA (US2.4 million), and the Netherlands (US$ 1.67 million).
