Saudi Arabia: Israel is behind instability in the region

Saudi Arabia has expressed her hope that the development of current incidents in the US will lead to the preoccupation of the world from the state run terrorism practiced by the Israeli government against the Palestinians.

A statement by the Saudi cabinet following its weekly meeting held on Monday under the chairmanship of King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz, said that " the Kingdom has called on the international community to define the concept of terrorism. At a time when the world is tackling with the issue of terrorism and trying to exterminate this phenomenon, Israel continues its brutal practices against the Palestinians in killing the innocents and demolishing houses." The statement called on the international community to the need of working to halt these aggressions and ensure protection for the Palestinian people. It stressed that the ME peace process needs honest efforts by the US administration and the international community to achieve the just and comprehensive peace.

The statement renewed Saudi Arabia support and full cooperation with the international efforts aiming at fighting terrorism.

Saudi Arabia also expressed its rejection to the attempt made to attach terrorism to Muslims and Islam, stressing that the " Islamic religion is a religion of amity, tolerance and peace. It gives up all forms of terrorism."
