Regional, Culture, 10/1/2001
The Egyptian First Lady Suzanne Mubarak, Chairwoman of Arab Women Summit, condemned the recent attacks that had taken place on September 11 in USA.
Mrs. Mubarak called upon all western governments and the U.S.A. not to issue premature judgments against Arab families abroad.
This came in Mrs. Mubarak's speech readout by representative of Arab Women Summit, Farkhunda Hassan before "Arab women abroad forum", held currently in Jordan.
The forum stemmed from Cairo declaration that had been issued by the first Arab summit last November.
Mrs. Mubarak urged women in the western states and the U.S.A. to play their roles in calling upon their governments not to make the outcome of the 11 of September terror attacks reflect negatively on Arab families.
She called upon the forum to issue a declaration in this purpose.
On her part, Queen Rania, spouse of Jordanian King Abdullah II said "we aspire for organizing a communication network with Arab women abroad through establishing a bureau under the umbrella of the Arab women organization."
Queen Rania added Arab women have been contributing to building the communities in which they stay, in addition to serving their own homelands.
