Exports of textile and leather items grow by 3.5% in jan-july

Moroccan exports of textile and leather items were worth up to last July 17.8 Billion DH (US$ 1.5 million) which is an increase of 3.5% compared to the corresponding period (January-July) of last year. According to figures released by the Exchange office, the progression was mainly noted in the exports of clothes which grew by 5.9% and cotton cloths which were more than two times higher.
The share of leather and textile items in the total of exports progressed from 37% in Jan-July 2000 to 39.4% in Jan-July 2001.
