Boat crew suspected of illegal immigration acquitted

The first instance court of Casablanca acquitted the crew of a German-registered leisure boat, accused of organizing illegal immigration trips from Asia to Europe, via Morocco.
The three crew members, a Greek and two Germans, were arrested on September 18 at the port of Casablanca as 13 Pakistani and 6 Indian candidates to illegal immigration were found on board the Spain-bound boat.
The Moroccan owner of a travel agency who had received the Asian people at the Casablanca airport was also arrested and acquitted.
