King Mohammed meets Portuguese foreign minister

Morocco's King Mohammed VI met in Marrakesh Friday Portuguese minister of state and minister of foreign affairs, Jaime Gama, who arrived in Marrakesh in the morning for a short visit to Morocco.
The Portuguese official was accompanied by director of political affairs at the Portuguese foreign ministry, Costa Perera and Portugal's ambassador to Morocco, Rui Brito E Cunha.
The visit falls in the frame of bilateral consultations and is meant to institute permanent dialogue in this time of international crisis, Gama had told reporters upon arrival in the airport.
The countries bordering the Mediterranean are called to give a strong momentum to the Middle East peace process and to put forward shared values to contain violence, extremism and terrorism, he said, underscoring Morocco's geo-strategic location and its responsible and determining role in the Arab, Islamic world.
"My talks with Moroccan officials will equally focus on means of contributing to the security of international life," the Portuguese minister said.
