Just hours from Arafat- Peres meeting, Israeli forces broke into Rafah, five Palestinian killed

Just hours after the meeting held on Thursday between the Chairman of the Palestinian Authority yasser Arafat and the Israeli foreign minister Shimon Peres, the Israeli army forces carried out incursion and bombardments acts by its tanks in Rafah, while clashes continue between the Palestinian Intifada youths and the Israeli soldiers resulted in killing five Palestinians and wounding 40 others.

Two Palestinians were killed on Thursday early morning and 31 others wounded when the Israeli tanks bombarded Rafah to the South of Gaza, while the Israeli army continued its incursion in this area and this resulted in increasing the number of killed Palestinians to three.

The state - run Rafah hospital told reporters that the Palestinian youth Mahmoud fatehi al-Sja'er from Rafah camp died on Thursday morning after he was hit by an Israeli fire in the context of the Israeli breaking in operation into Yabna camp and Salad Eddine gate area in Rafah near to the borders with Egypt.

He indicated that 6 of the wounded Palestinians are in a critical health condition. The Palestinian Akram Abu Labdeh ( 30 year old) died because of wounds in his head in Rafah.

The Palestinian official at al-Shefaa hospital in Gaza Mu'aweyah Abu Hasanin said that there are still four other persons in very critical conditions. The Palestinian Khaled Muhammad Abu Habib was killed and other ten wounded on Thursday at dawn as they were hit by the Israeli shells near rafah to the south of Gaza.

Palestinian medical sources said that Khaled ( 20 year old) was killed following bombardment by five Israeli tanks that incurred for 110 meters into the territories that fall under the control of the Palestinian Authority in Rafah.
