One Egyptian army officer wounded in Rafah

An Egyptian security source said on Wednesday that an Egyptian army officer in the border force was hit by Israeli bullets through the line separating the Palestinian and Egyptian parts of Rafah The source explained that Lt. Amre Taha was strongly wounded, noting he was attacked while the Israeli soldiers were chasing Palestinians in the Palestinian part of Rafah.

However, a medical source in the neighboring Egyptian al- Areesh city said that the wounding of Muhammad ( 27 year old) was a result of shells of explosive bombs, rather than bullets.

An Egyptian security official said the Lt. Was hit by a bullet and several shells in his left leg near Salah eddine gate.

In June this year, the Egyptian border area in Gaza witnessed the killing of an Egyptian soldier by the Israeli forces bullets called al-Sayyed al-Ghareeb Muhammad Ahmad. Meantime, 6 Egyptians were wounded of exchanging fire between the Palestinians and the Israelis in the region.
