Bahrain for an international cooperation to curb terrorism

News reports said that Bahrain's prime minister Sheikh Khaleifa Bin Salman al-Khaleifa warned on Tuesday before the Bahraini Shoura council the Arab states not to permit the distortion of the name of Islam by the terrorist attacks. He explained that opportunity should not be given to those who want to use the attacks recently took place in the US to distort the image of Islam.

Sheikh Khaleifa added: " we do understand the need of the US to maintain a revenge answer following the fatal attacks against its territories, but this should not be resulted in damaging other innocent people for this end."

Meantime, Bahrain's foreign minister Sheikh Muhammad Bin Mubarak al-Khaleifa has announced that his country denounces all forms of terrorism and is ready to cooperate and take part in any international measure or efforts aiming at fighting terrorism and punishing terrorists.

News reports quoted the Bahraini minister as saying in a statement to the Bahraini daily al-Ayam ( the days) on Tuesday that Bahrain has not yet approved the deployment of US forces on its territories for possible attacks against Afghanistan, stressing that his country did not receive a request from the US for this aim.
