Gulf foreign ministers stress readiness to support US campaign to fight terrorism

Bahrain's foreign minister Sheikh Muhammad Mubarak al-Khaleifah said that the foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has stressed readiness of the GCC member states to take part in any joint acts of certain objectives and alliance that gains the support of the international community to fighting world terrorism and punish those who commit acts of terrorism.

He also warned against investing the attacks to torture the image and reputation of the Arabs and Muslims.

Sheikh Khaleifah who presided over the extraordinary meeting of the GCC foreign ministers on Sunday in Jeddah added that security and stability of the GCC member states and protection of their common interests makes it imperative to convene such meetings in order to review developments and events taking place in the world in order to take positions regarding them.

It is, however, expected that the participants in the meeting will adopt a united positions towards the American move to retaliate the attacks made recently against it.
