Al-Assad receives a telephone call from Khatami

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on Sunday evening received a telephone call from the Iranian President Muhammad Khatami during which latest developments on the regional and international arenas and issued of mutual concern were reviewed.

Stress was laid by the two Presidents on the importance of consultations among the Muslim states in the current critical conditions. The two Presidents also reviewed during the telephone conversation bilateral relations between the two countries.
