Peres confers with Turkish counterpart

The Israeli foreign minister Shemon Peres on Friday in Tel Aviv met with the Turkish foreign minister Ismael Cim. The Israeli radio said that Peres and Cim discussed latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The radio also quoted Israeli political sources as saying that Israel will ask the Turkish minister during his visit to the Palestinian Authority areas to pressure the chairman of the Palestinian authority Yasser Arafat to fix the cease fire.
