Morocco's fishery minister on work visit to Japan

Morocco's sea fisheries minister, Said Chbaatou is paying this September 16-23 a work visit to Japan to promote partnership in the field.

The official, who is accompanied by a delegation of private economic operators, held several work sessions with members of the Japanese government and professionals. The two sides exchanged view on lasting exploitation of resources and other items related to the future of fisheries worldwide and the sector contribution in food security.

Chabaatou also surveyed with Japanese deputy foreign minister in charge of parliamentary affairs Morocco's vision on economic and social development and invited Japanese private investors to conduct business in Morocco which has taken a series of investment-inciting measures.

Other meetings were held by the Moroccan party with officials from the Japanese International Cooperation agency (JICA) and executives of over twenty companies and trade associations.
