Some $ 3 million for an Arab media campaign addressed to the West

Well-informed sources said that the Arab ministers of information approved during intensive contacts between themselves during the few past days to launch a media campaign directed to the West in order to challenge the fierce campaign against the Arabs and Muslims, erupted following attacks at the US on September 11.

The sources explained that this campaign will be in programs in the Arab satellite stations and advertisement in major European and American papers. A sum of $ 3 million was allotted for this purpose.

Worthy mentioning that four Arab main TV stations which are al-Mustaqbal ( the future) ( Lebanon) ( MBC, London owned by Saudi Arabia), ( ART, Arab Radio and Television, owned also by Saudi Arabia) and LBC ( Lebanon ) on Thursday evening launched a joint media campaign at a budget of USD 5 million with the cost and coordination equally shared with the Arab ministers of the information.
